We're looking for two Cloud Data Engineers to join a collaborative team responsible for designing, building and optimising cloud-based data solutions. Working across the full data engineering lifecycle, you'll help deliver production-ready pipelines, improve data platforms and contribute to the ongoing evolution of cloud engineering capabilities.

This is an initial six-month contract with strong extension potential, based in Perth.

What you'll be doing:
  • Design, develop and implement scalable cloud data engineering solutions using Databricks.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines that ingest, transform and deliver data from multiple sources.
  • Contribute to cloud platform architecture, engineering standards and data governance practices.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, SMEs and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, reviews, continuous improvement and DevOps practices.
To be successful you'll bring:
  • Commercial experience delivering cloud data engineering solutions within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Excellent Python and SQL skills, with Scala or Java experience highly regarded.
  • Experience designing and optimising ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud data warehouse technologies such as Databricks Lakehouse, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
  • Understanding of cloud networking, monitoring, logging and performance optimisation.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using Azure DevOps and Atlassian products.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
