We’re looking for an experienced Radio Installation Technician / Auto Electrical to join a site communications project, delivering a focused rollout of a new P25 Tait radio system across light vehicles.
This is a hands-on, vehicle-based role, suited to someone comfortable working independently in a mining environment and confident owning installations end to end.

- Consistent roster: 8 days on / 6 days off, day shift only
- Clear scope: Sole purpose role — remove legacy systems and install new P25 radios
- Autonomy: Operate as a sole installer within the site comms team
- Contract security: Initial 6-month contract with strong extension potential
- On-the-tools work: Practical, vehicle-based installs where experience matters
- Removing existing Sismico radio systems from light vehicles
- Installing and commissioning Tait P25 UHF radio systems to site standards
- Completing all auto-electrical work associated with vehicle installs
- Working independently while coordinating with the site communications team
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to best-practice standards
- Operating effectively in a mine site environment — heat, dust, time pressure and all
- Strong experience in vehicle-based radio installations (UHF / P25 highly regarded)
- Background in auto electrical work or similar mobile equipment installations
- Previous mine site experience and understanding of site safety requirements
- Comfortable working as a sole installer and owning the quality of your work
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering clean, reliable installs
