PMO Governance & Reporting Analyst

Permanent / Full Time

Governance that drives delivery, reporting that creates clarity.

If you’re the person who can look across a portfolio of projects, spot where the information doesn’t quite add up and turn it into reporting that actually helps leaders make decisions, this could be a great role for you.

We’re working with a large, complex organisation seeking a PMO Governance & Reporting Analyst to strengthen governance, reporting and visibility across its project and transformation portfolio.

Sitting within the PMO, you’ll work across multiple initiatives, bringing together project information, risks, milestones, dependencies, financials and delivery performance to provide a clear view of what’s happening across the portfolio.
This isn’t just about producing reports. You’ll help improve the quality and consistency of the information behind them, challenge gaps where needed and make sure governance processes are working effectively.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers and senior stakeholders to bring structure and consistency to portfolio governance and reporting.
Your role will include:
  • Coordinating portfolio and project reporting, bringing together status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, financials and delivery performance.
  • Preparing dashboards, governance packs, executive reporting and insights that translate complex project information into a clear view of portfolio health.
  • Supporting governance forums and decision-making processes, ensuring information, actions, decisions and escalations are captured and followed through.
  • Monitoring adherence to PMO frameworks, standards and reporting requirements, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve consistency across projects.
  • Analysing portfolio information to identify emerging risks, trends, dependencies and areas requiring management attention.
You’ll also contribute to the ongoing improvement of PMO processes, templates, reporting tools and governance practices, helping create a more consistent and useful approach to portfolio management.

What we’re looking for You’ll ideally come from a PMO Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Project Analyst, Governance Analyst or similar role within a reasonably complex project environment.

You’ll be comfortable working with large amounts of project information, but more importantly, you’ll know how to interpret it. You can identify what matters, ask the right questions and turn the detail into meaningful information for senior stakeholders.

Strong reporting and analytical capability will be important, along with confidence working across project governance, RAID, milestones, dependencies, portfolio performance and executive reporting.

Experience with tools such as Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint and contemporary project or portfolio management systems will be highly regarded.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who brings structure and discipline without creating bureaucracy. Someone who understands that good PMO governance should make delivery clearer and decision-making easier.

If you enjoy being across the detail while still seeing the bigger portfolio picture, we’d love to hear from you.
