Contract opportunity supporting complex defence aligned technology projects
We are partnering with our client to identify an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a pipeline of critical IT infrastructure initiatives. This is a long term opportunity supporting a program of work that is already well underway and expected to continue for at least the next 12 months. This is likely to be a five year piece of work.
This role will suit someone who enjoys operating in technically complex environments and who can confidently lead projects spanning networks, cloud platforms and enterprise systems. You will work closely with internal technology teams, vendors and senior stakeholders to deliver infrastructure outcomes that support large scale operational environments.
The work is varied and meaningful. Projects are likely to include infrastructure upgrades, network improvements, cloud related initiatives and broader systems enhancements across a complex enterprise environment.
You will be someone who is comfortable sitting between technical teams and the business, translating requirements into clear delivery plans while ensuring projects remain on track across scope, schedule and budget.
This role requires strong technical credibility. While you will not be hands on, you will need a solid understanding of infrastructure environments including networking, cloud and enterprise systems in order to effectively guide delivery teams and challenge vendors where required.
To be successful in this role you will bring proven experience delivering technical infrastructure projects within large or complex organisations. Experience working in defence aligned, engineering or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
You will also bring strong stakeholder management capability and the confidence to work with senior leaders while maintaining momentum across technical delivery teams.
Because of the nature of the environment, applicants must be Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain NV1 Defence security clearance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Project Manager to step into a long term program of work where you can make a genuine impact while working with experienced technology professionals.
If you are an infrastructure focused Project Manager who enjoys complex technical environments and delivering meaningful outcomes, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
