We are thrilled to share that our Managing Director, Anita Pages-Oliver, has been appointed to the Redevelopment Committee for St Patrick’s Community Support Centre, marking a significant step in her ongoing commitment to addressing homelessness in our community.

St Patrick’s Community Support Centre is a beacon of hope in Fremantle, having served as a leader in homelessness support services and social housing for over 50 years. Their award-winning efforts have provided essential services and housing to the most vulnerable members of our society.

The latest initiative, the St Pat’s Redevelopment Project, is set to transform the current site. The aging and unfit transitional lodging will be replaced with 28 modern, long-term homes, directly addressing our social housing crisis. Additionally, the project includes the construction of new day centre facilities, which will provide breakfast and lunch meals, healthcare, dental care, optometry services, and internet access among other services to those in need.

The demand for these crucial services has reached an all-time high, particularly among women and young people, with a notable increase in the number of women supported by St Pat’s. In fact, this past year alone saw a 96% increase in people helped by the organisation.

Anita’s involvement with St Pat’s is a continuation of her longstanding dedication to the community. Residing within the Fremantle area, she has been a proactive supporter of local initiatives aimed at alleviating homelessness. Her contributions range from hands-on volunteering — serving meals and assisting at events — to fundraising for vital services.

Joining forces with St Pat’s CEO Michael Piu and the dedicated committee members, Anita is excited to contribute to this vital capital project. Her role in the committee is both an honor and a privilege, reflecting her deep commitment to making a tangible impact in the lives of those around her.

If you share Anita’s passion for community service and are interested in learning more about how you can contribute to ending homelessness, she would be delighted to connect with you. Together, we can foster positive change and work towards a future where everyone has a place to call home.

At Sense Recruitment, we take pride in not only our professional achievements but also our commitment to giving back to the community. Anita’s latest appointment is a testament to our core values of compassion, involvement, and positive action.

Join us in supporting this noble cause and help make a difference in the lives of many.
