My biggest tip on preparing for a crucial job interview is to get as much information as you can before you enter that room. I find the best source of that information is the person who has represented you for the role.
Whether that’s a Recruitment Consultant or an internal HR person, they’ve put their stamp of approval on your application before you entered that room and so they have a vested interest in you succeeding – their reputation is at stake as well.
Try and get as much information as you can out of them on who you’re meeting with, what they’re looking for in a person, what that hiring manager is like, what the culture of their team is like and what they really are looking for in a candidate that would make them succeed and stand out of the pack during that interview process.
